This ladies-only class gives women a dedicated space to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through clear coaching, progressive practice and live rounds. You will work on movement, escapes, positional control and submissions at a pace that supports steady improvement.

Whether this is your first martial arts class or you already train, Hayley will help you develop strong foundations, sharpen your technique and feel comfortable putting your skills into practice.

Arrive a little early

We will show you around, introduce you to Hayley and answer your questions before the class starts at 18:45.

Wear comfortable kit

A clean fitted T-shirt or rash guard with shorts or leggings is suitable for a first session. Avoid zips and pockets.

Train at your pace

You will be partnered appropriately and can pause or ask questions whenever you need to.

Bring water

Keep nails short, remove jewellery and bring water. We will explain everything else when you arrive.

Do I need any experience?

No. The class welcomes complete beginners as well as women who already train. Tell Hayley about your experience before the session so you can be partnered and coached appropriately.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

No. Work at a sustainable pace and take breaks when needed. Your fitness will develop naturally as you train consistently.

What should I wear?

For your first session, wear clean, comfortable training clothing without zips, jewellery or hard fastenings. We can advise you about any additional kit after the class.

Is the class suitable if I feel nervous?

Yes. Starting something new can feel daunting, so arrive early and speak to Hayley. You will be shown what to do and can learn at a pace that feels manageable.

When and where is the class?

The class runs every Friday from 18:45 to 20:00 at Total Dojo in Bletchley.
